Sales Executive | Screen Africa


Main Objectives:


1.                   Procure new producing clients for IVTM and Gearhouse South Africa in accordance with the Sales strategy.

2.                   Identify and pursue business opportunities, establishing relationships with decision makers in the relevant industry.

3.                   Develop and maintain sound business relations with existing clients on behalf of IVTM CTICC and Gearhouse South Africa.

4.                   Meet or exceed sales targets set by Sales Manager.





Utilise professional sales techniques, industry knowledge and long-term customer relationships to sell IVTM and Gearhouse South Africa services and products to clients.
Target high profile potential clients and expand the existing customer base as per the sales strategy by means of: telesales, face to face calls, presentations, and arranging open days, workshops, site reconnaissance with Project Managers etc.
Establish and sustain relationships with key clients.
Visit current industry events on-site to further cultivate client relationships.
Take the quotation brief for new jobs either telephonically or via a meeting/site visit with the client.
Involve the relevant Project Manager or operations personnel in site/technical meetings to clarify requirements or brief the assigned Project Manager regarding the job and introduce them to the client on confirmation of quotation.
Liaise with the client throughout the quotation and negotiation process.
Obtain signed quotations for confirmed jobs and ensure payment terms are met.
Record all client details, interaction and sales activities on the CRM/Contacts system.
Monitor the progress and standard of client service throughout the event and conduct a follow-up with client on completion.
Provide client feedback to sales management regarding client relationship or event specific issues.


Source new clients and business for IVTM and Gearhouse SA.
Work closely with the Cape Town Sales Manager in achieving the quarterly sales targets.
Attend and contribute to sales meetings.
Keep branch informed of potential upcoming work


Assist management with any other duties as may be required.
Be a positive representative of the company at all times.


A professional qualification in sales will be an advantage
Previous internal and external sales experience would be preferable
Experience in the events/AV industry advantageous but not a pre-requisite
At least 3 years’ experience in sales
Own Transport/ Vehicle would be an advantage


Excellent interpersonal skills, preferably in a corporate environment
Considerable experience in the events industry
Team player
Strong networking skills
Ability to multitask
Client relationship management
Numeracy skills
Basic Knowledge:


Knowledge of the AV/Technical industry (3 years)
Personal Attributes:


Time conscious
Able to work flexible hours and overtime
