Key responsibilities

We are currently seek an HR Business Partner. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but busy global HR team.

You are to partner with leaders to provide tactical and strategic HR advice and guidance; coach and influence leaders to drive people outcomes that support delivery of the organisational objectives. You will develop effective relationships with key stakeholders actively promoting good management practice. The role will see you advising and offering interventions on complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and investigations and hearings.

Being part of our virtual global HR team, you will work collaboratively with regional HR managers in Africa, EME and Asia to share information, provide support and ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures, with a view to developing local capacity for Human Resources management. You will oversee and lead on a number of HR operational procedures and projects including reward and benefits, and employee engagement in collaboration with members of the global HR team.

Working with the Head of HR you will identify opportunities to enhance managers’ capability by delivering/organising training workshops on various HR subjects, and advising on learning and development interventions. You will be the E-Learning system owner and advise staff looking to develop new content.

The ability and willingness to travel to our overseas offices may be needed from time to time.

Who are we looking for?

In order to succeed in this job you will have solid experience in human resource management in an international environment. It is important that you have sound understanding of UK employment law, HR and OD processes, including but not limited to, change management, employee relations case work, compensation and benefits, policy and system development, etc. An understanding of the HR issues of operating globally in often complex and volatile environments are also essential for this role.

You will be CIPD qualified or have equivalent HR experience. You will need to demonstrate strong influencing, analytical and communication skills to help leaders drive people outcomes that support delivery of the business plan. You should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships as well as an organised approach to work.

Experience of working with an international NGO, and knowledge and experience of HR software is desirable.
